This page defines how Memoirs of Terror looks everywhere: Steam, the website, video thumbnails and social profiles. If something here disagrees with another file, this page is correct.
LOGO
DO
- Use the PNG files. Never retype the logo.
- Leave clear space around it at least as tall as the MEMOIRS OF box.
- Use the avatar for every profile picture: YouTube, X, Instagram, TikTok, itch.io, Steam and Discord.
DON'T
- Recolor the boxes, or place the logo on red.
- Stretch it, smooth it, or add glow, drop shadow or distortion effects.
- Change the avatar for individual stories. It stays the same across the series.
COLOR
Contrast rules
- Text sitting on artwork always gets a solid box behind it. Never put type directly on a screenshot.
- Crimson is only ever a box behind white text, never a text color. White on Crimson is 5.6:1.
- Body text is Bone on Void (16.5:1) or Ash on Void (9.9:1).

Always all caps, in a solid box. Turn off font smoothing so it stays pixel-sharp, and keep it at 16px or larger. SIL Open Font License, free for commercial use.

STEAM CAPSULES
Every story uses the same lockup: MEMOIRS OF and TERROR in black boxes, followed by the story name in a Crimson tag. Only the art and the story name change between stories. Place the lockup in whichever top corner is emptiest so the art stays readable.
